The life of Rick Nolan born june 9 1938 in a farm house near
Irwin Ohio.Our story will begin in 1944 in windam ohio in ww two.
Rick started first grade with no shoes no lunch it was common at
that time for poor people to do that.In most case's he would not
eat anything that day at all.His brothers Jim, Roger,Myron also
indured that time period.They were evicted out of the place they
were living in because they could not pay the rent in 1945.
Jim went to live with his grampaw Herron,Myron, went with an aunt
to Garatsville Ohio, Roger stayed with his mother, Rick went to stay
with his grampaw knox in Urbana Ohio.
They all got back together some time in 1946 and moved
to a town called nashville just outside of Mechanicsburg Ohio.
And from there they moved to spring street in Mechanicsburg.
From there they moved to eagle road just outside Mechanicsburg
In 1947.From there they moved to parkview road near Mechanicsburg
in the spring of 1951.Rick left home around 1954 but during the years
geting there it was tough mostly living off the land fishing hunting.
He could never remember ever siting down at the table to eat.
Rick left school in1954 and went on his own.He has been quiet
up untill now so when you hear his cd. you can tell it reflex those years
gone by.If you listen to the song last request you will know
what him and his brothers went through. There mom allways called
them the four older boys.
